We started off by photographing Mal in full scuba gear, pulling a "hard-arch" while lying on my coffee table.
Mari was standing behind and bending Mal's fins up at the end to give the look of moving through the air at speed.
I placed a fan under Mals face to blow his hair upwards, but this didn't work too well.

We had a bright light source above and to Mals left (note the hot spot on the scuba tank)
and two lights to burn-out the white backdrop completely. I placed a third
small light on the floor to Mals right to fill the shadows around his chest.
