Mari was born in Inuyama, in Aichi prefecture in Japan and has had a strong interest in photography for many years. Working with both black & white print film and colour transparency film, Mari has quickly shown herself adept at recognising the qualities of the world around her and an ability to capture a scene using the right media, with the right lens at the optimum angle. The resultant images displayed here constitute only a small fraction of the work she has done - but hint broadly at the quality of it. Mari is currently working as a freelance photographer in London, where she also manages to cram in classes in large-format studio photography as part of an on-going commitment to her chosen profession.
